TECHNO GRAM SEWA

Mission of MD:

Techno Gram Sewa is the brainchild of our maverick Managing Director, Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury, who has always talked of social equity and community service for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society. He believes that we, the select few of this uneven universe, do have this responsibility to help and support others so that a semblance is created over time.

Mission of TIGPS Bolpur:

Following the footsteps of our revered MD sir and taking inspiration from the globally acknowledged Social Worker Rabindranath Tagore, whose abode of peace- Santiniketan is our homeland, we have decided to turn the dream into reality and the foundation of this unique project was laid on the eve of Basanta Utsav 2019 which in itself is a significant day as we took an oath to bring back spring to the lives of those downtrodden and unfortunate few who have always missed and thus craved for the freshness and fragrance of Spring. Our mission is to bring all round change in the surrounding society and focus on development rather than growth of these people who know as much as we do, if not more can do wonders with a little help.

Techno Gram Sewa in TIGPS Bolpur:

Keeping this concept of Sewa in mind, Techno India Group Public School (Bolpur) has launched the Techno Gram Sewa project. The inauguration of the project took place on the day of Basanta Utsav (20.03.2019) in the month of March. The students, staff and parents of TIGPS (Bolpur) pledged to engage in community service meant for underprivileged and marginal people who have every right to live and avail opportunities like all of us. To be specific, local tribal villages are the locus of our community service.

The school has formed a team of teachers and students, who are the representatives of the four houses (Netaji, Teresa, Tagore and Vivekananda), under the guidance of Principal Mr. Binod Kumar Das. The Techno Gram Sewa plan and projects are distributed amongst these four houses. They take initiative to work throughout the year by participating in various kinds of activities related to CBSE SEWA project.

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

  1. In the month of May 2020, Vivekananda house teachers and students collected stationary goods from the whole school students and distributed them in the tribal village (BonerpukurDanga). Dr Diptendu Dutta, Dr Swati Mukherjee and Dr Subhashree Bhattacharya provided their voluntary service to the underprivileged community from 8 neighboring villages. With the good effort of the committee members and supporters this endeavor was highly successful.

As our latest venture into the mission of EDUCATION FOR ALL, under the visionary guidance of Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury and under the supervision of Mr. Binod Kumar Das (Principal) and Mrs. Krishnokoli Dey ( Head of the committee), English faculty of TIGPS ,Bolpur took the initiative of conducting spoken English classes starting on 17.02.2023. Enthusiastic students of all age groups from the surrounding areas of Udayan Pally, Bondanga, Kulbonidanga, Mauldanga, Boner PukurDanga and Pearson Pally came in huge number to attend the classes. On the first day 50 odd students came which eventually increased in number over the following weeks as the news of the spoken English class gains attraction within the neighboring areas.

  9. The success of the spoken English classes soon bore fruit on the occasion of Basanta Utsav celebration held on 06.03.2023 when selected students of the spoken English class bravely recited ‘Where The Mind Is Without Fear’ by Rabindranath Tagore under the guidance of Mr. Prantik Mitra and Ms. Srijita Kandar, English faculties of TIGPS, Bolpur, reminding everyone the true objective of Techno Gram Sewa (i.e. imparting knowledge and empowering the downtrodden).
